Type Locality and Naming

Name from Shizishan close to Guanshang, Yinjiang County, Yunnan. First used in 1982 by Duan Xinhua; in article "Continental Devonian System in Western Yunnan" in Contribution to the Geology of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau.


Lithology and Thickness

Light grey quartzose sandstone with interbeds of siltstone.
